Where youll be working Positions available across the following wards Killara Acute Killara acute is a 33 bed Acute Aged care ward which comprises of 27 acute ward beds and a 6 bed secure unit (Killara Extension) which is used for patients who exhibit behaviours of concern usually associated with BPSD. The ward and unit are supported by a Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Consultant and a Clinical Nurse Educator. Jara Jara ward is a 20 bed OrthopaedicENT unit with the capacity to surge up to 32 beds pending demand. Caring for patients with the range of conditions and surgical interventions, Jara is an acute care, high patient flow department, which is supported by the Clinical Nurse Educator and Nursing Unit Manager. Our vision is to provide patient centred care by upholding key values of respect, equality, safety and team work in a clean, friendly and caring environment. Yarrabee Yarrabee is a Cardiology ward that consists of 6 Coronary Care beds, 5 sub-acute Coronary Care beds and 11 mixed medical Cardiology, renal and endocrine beds. We provide an environment that allows for development through the medical ward to the Coronary Care unit. Yarrabee has 9 beds hardwired for haemodynamic monitoring and 12 mobile telemetry units. Where youll be working Cooinda is a 24 bed acute surgical ward which includes Urology, General Surgery and Vascular specialities. The acuity of the patients is diverse across these specialities and includes patients who require pre and post-operative care, continuous bladder irrigation, Patient Control Analgesia monitoring, complex wound care and stoma care. The nursing team is supported by Clinical Nurse Educator and the Nurse Unit Manager. Clinical Nurse Consultants within Acute Pain, UrologyStoma, Wound Care and Infection Prevention and Control are also available to provide ongoing support and education to staff as required.
