The Latvian Aged Care Facility is looking for dedicated PCAs who have a strong focus on resident wellbeing to join our supportive and progressive not-for-profit organisation. Our homely, close knit facility has been providing high quality care to the Latvian community across Australia for over 30 years.

We are looking to expand our pool of casual bank staff, with primarily afternoon and morning shifts available.

Essential criteria:

• Minimum Certificate III in Aged Care
• Current National Police Check
• 2020 Flu Vaccination
• Understanding of Quality Improvement
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
• Must have flexible and full availability and be reliable
• Must be available for both morning and afternoon shifts.
• Compassionate and empathetic person
• Currently not working at another aged care facility

Desirable:

• Previous experience in Residential Aged Care

About the role:
Reporting to the Home Manager at Yarra West Aged Care Home, located in Yarraville VIC, we currently have an opportunity for a Clinical Care Coordinator to join our team!

Please note:  This is a short term contract to cover maternity leave

The hours are full time, Monday to Friday - 0700 - 1500

Raheny House Nursing Home, an established Home providing care and accommodation for up to 43 residents, now welcomes applications for the position of Activities Coordinator on a temporary part-time basis.

Role & Responsibilities:

• To promote through high standards of work, an environment that focuses on and manages the individual spiritual, recreational and leisure needs of the residents.
• To plan and arrange a varied activities programme in agreement with the Nurse Manager in accordance with best practice, including but not limited to; arts and crafts, baking, flower arranging, card games, bingo, exercise sessions, hand massage, nail care, sensory room, attendance at religious services.
• To adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Ensure each resident has an up to date and complete Life Story Book.
• To initiate and assist in the planning and execution of all events, such as birthday parties, Christmas parties or other celebrations and seasonal events, and to be present during those events.
• To assist in the personal care of residents if the need arises.
• Organise and maintain on a daily basis all standard activities, actively helping to promote and create the environment referred to in the mission statement and plan and implement special activities as requested by or as deemed to be of interest to the Residents.
• Be highly motivated and have excellent communication skills to deliver your activity programmes to a range of people.
• Be able to work well in a team and liaise with other staff, volunteers and residents.
