The Role

Key Selection Criteria
We are seeking an experienced and astute manager with experience in aged care residential management. You will also posses the following:
  • Strategic leadership and communication skills 
  • Demonstrated knowledge & understanding of the aged care standards and accreditation process
  • Proven experience in human resource, financial and clinical management
  • Passion and commitment to the development of your team
  • Strong understanding of continuous improvement, OHS and risk management

About the Role
As a Clinical Lead supporting multiple residences you will be required to work for periods of time in any of the Arcare residences across Victoria. You will provide support to the residence by leading the Personal Support Workers and Endorsed Enrolled Nurses and ensuring that the care provided is in accordance with the individual needs of the clients, help implement and evaluate client care plans, maximize ACFI and ensure compliance to the Aged Care Legislation & Accreditation Standards. You will liaise with clients, families, and medical professionals, and are encouraged to initiate and participate in innovative projects.
The Clinical Lead will report directly to the Residence Manager and to the Regional Support Manager Victoria. Annual Remuneration for this position is $96,000 plus super.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • To promote through high standards of work, an environment that focuses on and manages the individual spiritual, recreational and leisure needs of the residents.
  • To plan and arrange a varied activities programme in agreement with the Nurse Manager in accordance with best practice, including but not limited to; arts and crafts, baking, flower arranging, card games, bingo, exercise sessions, hand massage, nail care, sensory room, attendance at religious services.
  • To adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure each resident has an up to date and complete Life Story Book.
  • To initiate and assist in the planning and execution of all events, such as birthday parties, Christmas parties or other celebrations and seasonal events, and to be present during those events.
  • To assist in the personal care of residents if the need arises.
  • Organise and maintain on a daily basis all standard activities, actively helping to promote and create the environment referred to in the mission statement and plan and implement special activities as requested by or as deemed to be of interest to the Residents.
  • Be highly motivated and have excellent communication skills to deliver your activity programmes to a range of people.
  • Be able to work well in a team and liaise with other staff, volunteers and residents.
