Staff Specialist Physician

About the role The purpose of this role is to provide the highest practical standards of general medical services for the patients of the West Moreton Hospital and Health Service. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Staff Specialist in General Medicine (with or without another sub-speciality) who will be working alongside a relatively young team of specialist physicians including but not limited to Acute Medicine, Acute Stroke, General Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine, Oncology, Palliative Care, Respiratory Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Obstetric Medicine and Cardiology. The Division of Medicine encompasses the department of medicine and department of emergency medicine. These two departments work together to optimise patient care and patient flow. Governance of these two departments is overseen by the division director of the medicine stream. The Department of Medicine overviews a number of sub-specialist services including Palliative Care, Geriatrics, Rehabilitation, Cardiology, General Medicine, Respiratory, Diabetes, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology and Infectious Diseases. Patients are predominantly admitted under general medical teams with subspecialty input. We are a large, dynamic department and provide care to patients with complex medical conditions.
