The Position We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Mental Health Nurse Registered Nurse Registered Midwife to join the multidisciplinary team in New South Wales. Substantial experience working with clients experiencing psychological, social and psychiatric problems during the perinatal period will be highly regarded. This position will be offered on a permanent part-time basis, working 32 hours per fortnight. You will be based at two sites “ Blacktown and Springwood. The successful candidate will have A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care. Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife. Demonstrated clinical knowledge and experience in mental health. Demonstrated ability and experience providing a range of psychotherapeutic interventions to individuals, families and groups. Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively liaise with referrers and other service providers. Knowledge and application of the relevant Mental Health Act, National Mental Health Standards, ethical principles and legislation governing professional practice.
