Albury Wodonga Health is offering a twelve month Graduate Program to suitably qualified Double Degree Bachelor of Nursing Bachelor of Midwifery Graduates. The program is designed to support the newly-qualified Registered Nurse Registered Midwife in their transition from student to practitioner. You will be given the opportunity to gain Midwifery experience, Special Care Nursery and Womens surgical experience in a supported environment, while improving your theoretical knowledge through attendance at study days and hospital education sessions. The Maternity Unit includes the AntenatalPostnatal ward, Birth Suite, and Special Care Nursery. AWH Maternity Unit has on average 1650 deliveries annually and as Special Care Nursery that cares for babies from 32 weeks gestation and above. Selection Criteria It is essential to have a current Medical Practitioner, registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia, either a 3rd Year advanced trainee or FRACP. Your main duties will be to - See, assess, advise and determine optimal management of patients referred to the Sarcoma service as either outpatients or inpatients. - Establish, coordinate and contribute to investigator-initiated multi-disciplinary research (medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgery) including registries, audits and biobanking. - Participate in the screening, consenting and recruitment of patients to clinical trials, and their ongoing management on clinical trials, including necessary meetings with clinical trial sponsors. - Attend outpatient clinic and ward rounds and provide on-call duties as determined in conjunction with the Coordinator of Training and Head of Department and carry out the prescription of investigational therapies under supervision. - Carry out clinical research projects appropriate to the function and interest of the Service. - Provide teaching to students, nurses and advanced trainees as required. - Attend and present material at hospital and scientific meetings, including material related to the progress and outcomes of the fellowship and any research findings to the Fellowship donors. Selection Criteria It is essential to have a current Medical Practitioner, registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia, either a 3rd Year advanced trainee or FRACP.
